East Wichita Dentist

Rating: 5 5 Star Reviews, East Wichita Dentist

I LOVED the courteous customer service! The staff was excellent! The staff was very knowledgeable and kind! Dr. K is GREAT!!! Michelle (hygienist) did a wonderful job and was very thorough as-well-as very knowledgeable. She not only does a terrific job but is gentle and understanding on how to treat a patient. I have been through several dentist and hygienists in my day. And Michelle and Dr. K blow them out of the water! The entire staff at EWD was awesome!!! Go to East Wichita Dentist...you won't be disappointed.
Bite problems can cause a variety of other problems, including TMJ. We started doing orthodontics because we found it difficult to get desired results for our TMJ patients. Dr. David Koepsel decided to get the additional training needed to be able to offer orthodontics here at East Wichita Dentist. He has always had a love of the specialty, as it was one of the reasons he entered dental school. We try very hard to see that the orthodontics offered in our office are every bit as good as the treatment you would receive from any specialist in the city.

For this method of orthodontic treatment, we use a wire that is straight, and the teeth follow the wire – thus straightening the teeth. The type of wire we use is called memory wire, and when it is shaped to fit the teeth, it wants to straighten itself out, and the teeth go with it. This is a very slow, gentle, and effective way to straighten teeth. There is minimal discomfort involved, because it is a very gentle and gradual movement.

Straight wire orthodontics can be used to correct a variety of cosmetic and bite issues. This method of treatment is just as appropriate for adults as is it for children and teens. Younger teeth typically move faster, so treatment may take a bit longer for mature patients. However, it is highly effective.

Most people ask how long treatment takes, but that question is very difficult to answer. We won't over-force the teeth for faster results, because that can cause many problems. The time frame depends on where we are now, and where we want to end up, as well as the ability of the teeth to move through the bone. Every case is unique. We will take whatever time is needed, which may range from 6 to 36 months, and on the rare occasion, possibly longer.

Are you tired of the pain, embarrassment, difficulty in chewing, and difficulty in cleaning your teeth? It's never too late to correct a bad bite, or straighten crooked teeth. Call us at (316) 686-7395 or use the convenient contact form at the side of this page to schedule an appointment today.

Such an amazing dental office! The staff is so nice and welcoming. I felt right at home. They used sedation dentistry on me and it took all the fear from me and it didn't even hurt. I have never met a dental office that is so easy to talk to! Love them
