Rating: 5 5 Star Reviews, East Wichita Dentist

I use to hate the idea of going to the dentist. I needed to get some work done. I called several dentist offices before I decided on Dr. David Koepsel. That was the best decision I made. I know it sounds crazy but it was enjoyable, the only little pain was the shots. He's definitely the BEST DENTIST, I've been to. The whole staff is wonderful and very nice.
Invisalign is a unique orthodontic system, which does not use wires or brackets. Instead, Invisalign works with plastic trays that cause the teeth to move gradually from one step to the next. Invisalign technology has come a long way, improving the ability to do things that it could not previously accomplish. Today, we recommend Invisalign for many patients who would have previously needed straight wire orthodontics.

For most patients, the choice between Invisalign and braces is similar to choosing a train or plane to travel across country. You still arrive at the same place; they are just different ways of getting there. One method is distinctly more comfortable and convenient. The many benefits of Invisalign include:
  • They are removable, so you can brush and floss as normal. Plaque can collect around brackets, turning to calcification, which leaves white marks on the teeth when braces are removed.
  • The aligners are thin and comfortable, with no sharp wires to poke you in the cheek.
  • Your dentist can see what is going on, and make mid-course corrections if necessary.
  • They are invisible, so you can straighten your teeth discreetly.
The process begins with taking x-rays and impressions, and then invisible forms (called aligners or trays) are made to fit your teeth. The initial ones are very close to where your teeth are now. About every two weeks, you move to a new set of aligners. Every aligner is a little bit closer to straight than the previous one. We don't know how many trays it will take to go from where your teeth are now, to straight. That is determined by the Invisalign computer.

To understand better how Invisalign works, think of a flipbook. Each page has a picture, slightly different from the previous one. As you flip through the pages, it looks like a movie. Each aligner moves your teeth a little bit, creating a "movie" of your teeth starting with crooked, and happily ending with straight!

Such an amazing dental office! The staff is so nice and welcoming. I felt right at home. They used sedation dentistry on me and it took all the fear from me and it didn't even hurt. I have never met a dental office that is so easy to talk to! Love them
